MBI BOOKS

We've written great books

A study of 1,200 wealthy people found that they all have reading as a pastime in common. But successful people don’t just read anything. They are highly selective about what they read, opting to be educated over being purely entertained. They believe that books are a gateway to learning and knowledge. MBI is developing a fact-based book about the media industry called  No Business, Like Show Business.

Under the umbrella title, Markets Across the Seven Seas, MBI has developed a series of novels telling vibrant, insider stories that unfold against the backdrop of select television markets and festivals.  The completed first novel, The Best Market Ever, is a rare look at the comedies and dramas of the television industry from the perspective of a Black-Canadian female executive of Jamaican ancestry. The novel is represented by agent, Maurie Alioff.

Titles in the series include:

  • Festival Fever

  • Rocking in Rockies

  • N’awlins is Calling

  • Berlin Blues

The Best Market Ever, will be developed into a screenplay written by Diane De La Haye.
